Are the carriers clean?
Yep! They're thoroughly cleaned between each rental.
What if the carrier I'm borrowing gets dirty or damaged?
We understand that life happens. We expect carriers to come back with all kinds of baby-goo on them. If you need to wash the carrier that you're renting, please contact us first for instructions. Different carriers require different cleaning. If the carrier you're using becomes damaged we'll have you ship it back for us to assess. If the carrier was damaged due to misuse you'll be billed for the cost to repair or replace the item. If the damage is due to product defect we'll immediately send you a replacement carrier or a refund.
Are the carriers safe?
Like most baby products, baby carrier safety depends heavily on the user. Whenever using any baby carrier it is important for baby to:
•Be visible to you - even in a back carry you should be able to see baby in your peripheral vision
•Be high on your body (close enough to kiss when on your front)
•Be snug and tight to your body
•Have a clear airway - you should be able to put two finger widths under baby's chin (baby should NOT be chin-to-chest)
Follow the TICKS rule.
Carriers are cleaned and inspected regularly, but it is important for you to inspect the carrier for damage before each use. If there is any damage, do NOT use the carrier.
Your baby's safety is ultimately your responsibility. Please educate yourself on proper babywearing techniques and use the carriers in the way they were intended.
